Nick Lappin
Nick Lappin is the son of Peter Lappin, a forward who played seven NHL games with the Minnesota North Stars and San Jose Sharks from 1989-92. The younger Lappin, also a forward, played for Cedar Rapids and Tri-City of the United States Hockey League. After going undrafted, he spent four seasons at Brown University and had 33 points (17 goals, 16 assists) in 31 games during his senior season. He signed a two-year contract with the New Jersey Devils on March 9, 2016, and made his pro debut with Albany of the American Hockey League. Lappin debuted with the Devils against the Chicago Blackhawks on Oct. 28, 2016 and earned his first NHL point, an assist, one night later. After three seasons in the Devils organization, Lappin signed on July 1, 2019 with the St. Louis Blues.
